Riverside Park Flower Sea
Bicycling along the riverside, you can enjoy not only the beautiful scenery of the riverside, but also the vast and colorful flower sea. (Zhonzheng Riverfront Park Flower Sea: March to May; Guting Riverfront Park Flower Sea: February to April)
Dadaocheng Pier
Dadaocheng used to be one of the most prosperous and bustling ports in Northern Taiwan, and you can visit many cultural monuments in the surrounding area. In addition, the “Dadaocheng Pier Container Market” combines exotic cuisines, humanities and arts, and local cultural treasures to present a different kind of pier, offering a feast for the eyes, ears and palate!
Shezi Island Wetland
Located at the mouth of the Keelung River and the Tamsui River, it is an important conservation area of the Guandu Wetland, covering an area of about 8.3 hectares. There are more than 40 species of birds inhabiting here, with a viewing platform and the “Shezi Island Wetland Information Center” to help people understand the ecology of the wetland.
Taipei City Zoo
It is one of the top ten urban zoos in the world and features over 400 species of animals in the site, making it the largest zoo in Southeast Asia. In addition, it contains an indoor exhibition hall and an outdoor exhibition area divided in accordance to the geography, which has the functions of both species display and ecological environment education. It is also worth mentioning that the park contains endemic species of Taiwan such as the Formosan sika deer, Formosan black bear, Taiwan Macaque, and the blue-bellied ibophophilus, which are not to be missed!
