Known as the “No. 1 spiritual mountain in the world,” Zhinan Temple has a history of 100 years and is one of the sacred Taoist sites in Taiwan.

This is a thousand-step stone trail with elegant stone lanterns on both sides of the trail, featuring also the entrance pagoda and the Zhongnan Pavilion, which are designed in Japanese architectural style, and both artificial and natural woods by the sides of the trail, such as 100-year-old bamboo cypress, cherry trees, nanmus, and large-leaved nanmus.

Maokong used to be one of the largest tea-producing areas in Taipei City, famous for its Tieguanyin, but nowadays it is oriented towards tourism and leisure, combining traditional tea art with foods and beverages. In addition, the mountain offers a beautiful view of Taipei and is also a great place to enjoy the night view.
