Certification Event Description and Regulations
I.Event Overview:
To further promote and publicize the Taipei Grand Trail, we are organizing a certification event. This is an invitation for you to join us in embracing the health benefits of hiking and walking.

IV.Event Duration: From March 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. Prize redemption is available until January 15, 2025.
V.Event Tasks and Prize Redemption Details:

1 | 1.Participants utilizing the Hiking Note APP for the 2024 Taipei Grand Trail treasure hunt, who complete the collection of gems, and obtain a completion certificate. 2.Participants utilizing the Hiking Note APP for the 2024 Taipei Grand Trail treasure hunt, who complete the gem collection twice, and obtain a completion certificate. | Awards for Each Completion First Completion: Taipei Grand Trail Certificate, one towel, and one set of arm sleeves. Second Completion: Taipei Grand Trail Second Completion Certificate, one hiking cap (limited to 1,500 caps, available to the first 1,500 participants who complete the certification). |
2 | For those without a smartphone or who choose not to use the Hiking Note APP to collect gems, an alternative task is available. Participants can take a photo with the 2024 gem signboards located at 16 designated spots. (This task can only be completed once and does not combine with the first task. 1.Task One: Participants are asked to use the "Hiking Note APP" during the event period to collect all Taipei Grand Trail Gem Tracks. In case of system issues, please contact us via the Hiking Note FB fan page or send an email for inquiries. After completing the collection, submit your name, and the system will automatically issue a completion certificate and a serial number(see example) . By participating in this event, you agree to grant the Department of Geotechnical Engineering the right to use your data for promotional purposes without compensation.
2.Task Two: This task is designed for individuals without a smartphone or those who prefer not to use the Hiking Note APP. Participants need to take a photo with the 16 designated 2024 Gem signboards during the event period.

Notes:
※Task One: Upon completing a gem collection segment, the same segment's unlimited collection feature will be unlocked.
※Task Two: The photo task can be completed only once, allowing for a single certificate and towel collection.
※For individuals completing both Task One (on their first completion) and Task Two, only the prizes for Task One will be awarded.
※The organizing body reserves the right to amend, change, interpret, or cancel this event at any time. Any changes will be announced on the website without further notice.
VI.Redemption Instructions:The window for prize redemption closes on January 15, 2025,no requests for redemption will be accepted beyond this deadline.Participants may redeem their prizes personally or appoint someone to do so on their behalf. To redeem, please bring along either a photograph proving completion or system-generated certification data, in addition to a form of identification for each participant (photocopies are permitted). Prize redemption is available at our offices on workdays from 08:30-12:30 and 13:30-17:30.For an efficient redemption process, we recommend completing all tasks you intend to participate in before visiting our offices to redeem your prizes in a single trip. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
